Materials Matter: Explore Ours

Seea was born to fill a need in the surfwear industry: suits for women of all body types that are both practical and stylish, offering comfort and functionality in and out of the ocean.

The materials we consciously curate are at the very core of this, giving you the freedom to feel confident in the water as you move, and play and live. But beyond function, we carefully select materials that are gentler on the planet, adding better options as more exciting innovations come to market and phasing out others.

C-Skin

Feels like an ultralight 0.5 mm neoprene, but this special polyester/spandex fabric is a multiple layered knit that breathes, moves and feels buttery smooth like a second skin. In this case, C-Skin’s fit, comfort, functionality, performance, durability and warmth can’t be matched. However, we are currently working toward developing a new C-Skin made of recycled polyamides. Fabric made in Taiwan, printed in the U.S.A.

Content: 80% Polyester; 20% Spandex

Textured Fabric

Offered in a variety of distinctive patterns, colors, and prints, Seea's signature textured fabrics offer a refreshing alternative to conventional swimwear fabrics in both vibe and feel, without forfeiting comfort or wearability.

Although all of our textured materials do not currently contain recycled content, we are working diligently with our suppliers and factories to do so in the near future. For now, swimsuits made from textured fabrics with recycled content will be noted as such in their product descriptions, while textured fabrics that do not have any recycled content will not have that distinction.

Yulex

Neoprene wetsuits are made from harmful petrochemicals, which is why we proudly made the decision to leave neoprene behind and switch to Yulex.   A plant-based material, Yulex is made from Forest Stewardship Council certified rubber trees, which ensures that the forest is being managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers, while ensuring it sustains economic vitality.

Deadstock

Most clothing brands purchase new fabric from fabric mills every season. After all the garments are made, the leftover fabric is called deadstock. In most cases, deadstock fabrics are eventually sent to landfill. We've rescued this fabric before it’s been discarded to create clothing for your journey to self-discovery.
